January 2025

Welcome to Jan!!!

Well well well.... That was fun wasn't it? December is over and here we start 2026! Are we still doing new years resolutions? Or are we doing goals instead?

My goal this year is to be positive and bring positive changes around me. If you see me in the elevator grumble, feel free to remind me! ;)

Just for Fun - Over the holidays, I made us a little song for 1660. Need a little pick-me-up, have a listen! -> We are 1660 N Lasalle.mp3

Employee Spotlight!

Our Jan Spotlight is Chelsea!!

You see Chelsea at least a few times a week in the evenings, and she is just a fresh breath of a warm welcome!!

Fun Facts!

Chelsea is multi-talented! She studied Medical Illustration in college but shifted towards Emergency Medical Science. She's an artist, she produces music, and she loves building things. Like big things. We're talking Lego towers. I'm still waiting for her to share some of her music, maybe some peer pressure will help?

In the spirit of the new year of 2026!

I wanted to share something I came across recently by Brad Stulberg, author of Peak Performance

Rules for an Excellent Life in a Chaotic World

Brad Stulberg, author of Peak Performance and The Practice of Groundedness, just dropped a list of wisdom. My favorites include:

  • Everyone faces anxiety, fear, and doubt. Try not to let it get to you. Courage means taking these emotions along for the ride and doing it anyways.
  • Just. Get. Started. You’re never fully ready. Nobody is. Lower the bar to ready enough, step in the arena, and learn (and grow) as you go.
  • Better is about more than just objective results and points on a scoreboard; it also means becoming stronger, kinder, and wiser.
  • Motivation is overrated. You don’t need to feel good to get going, you need to get going to give yourself a chance at feeling good.
  • Confidence comes from evidence. If you want to be confident about something, put in the reps and give yourself the evidence.
  • Surround yourself with the right people. (This is most important of all.)

Brad Stulberg’s 25 rules, here.

Last months Holiday party was a major hit!

The music, the food, the company... couldn't have asked for a better event. Thank you Georganna for all the hard work.... and without mention Steve, and Shirley, and Dwayne and the entire maintenance team.

We are so grateful for all the hard work!!

Our neighborhood is full of history and treasures. I created an image to showcase the Honeycomb Pavilion.
